A message from Mr. Collins:
I’m very pleased to announce that our Commencement 2023 will take place on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. (Note change in date).
To ensure that all of our students have an opportunity to be recognized for their achievements, the June 27th date was carefully chosen as we did not want it to conflict with exams and Eid celebrations that could take place as early as the evening of June 27.
With June 27th being the day when final marks are submitted by the staff, this will mean that the distribution of official diplomas and mark-based awards, such as Honour Roll, Ontario Scholar and Silver Medal, will not be presented at Commencement 2023. Diplomas and mark-based awards can be picked up at the school during the first week of July. Awards that are not strictly mark-based, such as scholarships, community awards and department awards will be recognized during the ceremony.
We will once again need to host 2 ceremonies based on the very large graduating Class of 2023, the school venue capacity limitations, our preference to host our ceremony at our school, and our ability to offer extra tickets for some families. Last June, we were able to provide approx. 80 extra tickets to families.
On June 27, we’ll have ceremonies at 10 AM and at 1 PM:

We have scheduled the 2 ceremonies close enough together to allow for our graduates to take pictures with each other between the celebrations.
Formal invitations to the Commencement Ceremonies will be distributed soon to the Class of 2023. Our graduates will be asked to return their RSVPs at our Grad Breakfast (student only event) on June 2, 2023 in order to pick up their Commencement Ceremony tickets. More information will be sent to our graduates regarding the Grad Breakfast.
