The Reach Ahead Credit Program provides an opportunity for students to supplement and enrich their High School Education by acquiring one credit. Students who have already successfully completed a course but want to upgrade their mark are eligible to repeat a course in the Reach Ahead Credit Program. In-person courses are available, as well as virtual courses that are offered through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous online instruction. A student may only enroll in one Summer School credit course of any kind (i.e., one Reach-ahead course or one eLearning course, etc).
Students enrolled in virtual courses will participate in both synchronous and asynchronous learning throughout the school day based on a predetermined schedule (will be shared upon acceptance into the course). Students enrolled in virtual courses will need access to a device and reliable internet throughout the day. Students who require a device will need to make arrangements with their home school. Earl of March Intermediate Information Night
Thanks to everyone who came out to our Intermediate Information Night on April 4, 2024. For those who were unable to attend, you may view the slidedeck that was shown that night below. We are looking forward to welcoming our new students in September!
Introducing SafeArrival - New Student Absence Management System
Ensuring students arrive safely at school each day is our top priority. To enhance our existing absence-check procedure, we are introducing a new, more efficient student absence reporting system from SchoolMessenger called SafeArrival. This is now available for all grades at Earl of March.
Families can report absences in advance using a mobile app, website, or toll-free phone line. These options are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Daily Snack Program
We are pleased to share that Earl of March offers a daily snack program funded through the Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE). ONFE is an independent, registered charity working with Ottawa’s four school boards to deliver programs that support student success. Grades 7-12 students in need have the option to receive a free nutritious snack once a day. No sign up is required. Grade 7 and Grade 8 students can pick up their snacks in Room 228.
