Major Achievement Awards

Athletic Letters

Awarded to graduating students who have had a significant influence on the Athletics program through their participation and leadership. The Athletic Letter represents a major contribution of time, energy and spirit in the development of the athletic community of Earl of March Secondary School. A student-athlete must obtain 10 points in order to qualify.

1 point:

  • Participation on a full season school team
  • OFSAA individual or team participant
  • OFSAA champions
  • NCSSAA winning team or individual
  • Athletic Council Representative

½ point:

  • Regionals winning team or individual
  • Team manager
  • EOM team coach

Colin Hood Award

The Colin Hood Award is given out annually to two graduating students (one male and one female) and one coach in every school in the province, who throughout their high school careers have been committed to the success of school sport at their school and within their Association.

Karen Silverthorn Memorial Award

Enthusiastic, hard-working, supportive, positive, inspiration to teammates, consistently present and on time member of a team (female).

Greg Williams Memorial Award

Determination, perseverance, hard work, inspiration to teammates, consistently present and on time member of team (male).

Ted Davis Memorial Award

Graduating student who demonstrates fair play, positive attitude and outstanding sportsmanship.

Dave Rider and Dustin Record Memorial Award

Basketball player who has a love of the game and hustle on the court.

Outstanding Athletes

Superior athletic performance, leadership, repeated participation in games and practices, good sportsmanship and ambassadorship: Junior Boy, Junior Girl, Senior Boy, Senior Girl
