Course Selection and Verification Process:

Students will be using Xello again this year to choose courses. Students should login to Xello via the student portal. Once logged into the portal they can choose the Xello icon from the grade 9-12 tiles. Other Xello/Course selection learning resources can be found on the Course Selection page under Student Services.

  • Xello opens for course selection submissions at EOM: Monday, February 14, 2022
  • Guidance counsellors will be speaking to students by grade about course selection on February 14th before lunch within their regular classes. Presentation information can be found on the Course Selection page if your youth misses that presentation.
  • Parents/guardians are encouraged to login to Xello with their youth to discuss course selections and pathways.
  • Students are to complete their course selections in Xello by Friday, March 4, 2022.
  • IMPORTANT: Parents/Guardians are to complete the Online Parent Verification Form, by noon on March 4th, to confirm that they agree with the courses selected by their youth.
  • Guidance counsellors are available for individual consultations. How to contact your EOM Guidance Counsellor.
  • Guidance counsellors, or other EOM staff members, can help connect families with Multi Cultural Liaison Officers for language support, cultural support or newcomer support.

Considering OCVSS?

OCVSS Intent to Register declaration is due: Tuesday, February 22, 2022. This is to declare their intent to register with the Ottawa Carleton Virtual Secondary School (OCVSS) for the 2022-2023 school year. This form is required for those students new or continuing at OCVSS for the 2022-23 school year.
