The Earl of March School Council invites you to join Dr. Kim Hellemans of Carleton University for a presentation on Building Academic Resilience to Support Student Mental Health. The presentation will take place on May 8, 2024 at 7pm in the Earl of March Auditorium. Light refreshments will be provided. Get your free ticket to secure your seat.

Our Spring Semester OSSLT will take place on April 15 & 16. All students currently taking Gr. 10 English, as well as all Gr. 11 and 12 students who still need to successfully complete the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test, will take the test at this time. Students will receive preparation and details in class.

Summer will be here before we know it! Registration for summer school programs is now open until June 17 (May 17 for Coop). Fill out the Google form to register.

Our school’s Multicultural Liaison Officers (MLOs) support newcomer students and families with settlement services, navigating the school system, language interpretation, and more.

Earl of March is pleased to announce that our Commencement Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 27. Due to our large graduating class, we will once again be holding two ceremonies, one at 10:00 am and one at 1:00 pm. There will be time between the two ceremonies for grads to take photos together. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2024!

SafeArrival is a system for managing student absences. Families can report absences in advance using a mobile app, website, or toll-free phone line. These options are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. SafeArrival is now available for all grades at Earl of March.

Free academic support! The Continuing Education Department offers free after school literacy and numeracy support programs for OCDSB students in grades 7-12. The program runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 3:30-7:30 or 4:00-8:00pm. at various locations in Ottawa.

Earl of March offers a daily snack program funded through the Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE). Grades 7-12 students in need have the option to receive a free nutritious snack once a day. No sign up is required. Grade 7 and Grade 8 students can pick up their snacks in Room 228. Grade 9 - 12 students can pick up their snacks in Room 259 (SST Room).

Secondary students are strongly encouraged to bring a Chromebook/laptop to school with them each day. The school has a limited number of Chromebooks available to lend out for the year for those who do not have their own. To request a chromebook, parents/guardians must complete the Chromebook Request Form by Tuesday, Sept 5.
